Leaders of the Sons of Norway Rockford Area 2012-13!
Cindy Ditzler, Director of Archives at NIU to Speak on SONR local area Archives March 11th at 1:30 PM.
Cindy Ditzler, the Northern Illinois University Regional History Center director of archives, will give a program for the March 11th Sons of Norway Rockford meeting.
She was instrumental in placingValhall Lodge Archives from 1907 to 2004 and installing them at the Founders Memorial Library on the NIU campus in DeKalb, IL.
She will explain how the university is invovled in preserving original manuscripts and records generated by private individuals, institutions, and organizations from throughout the eighteen northern Illinois counties. The category that Valhall Lodge falls under is ethnic heritage.
